i posted a while back about exhaust wrap but since then iv seen ceramic coating now does anyone know anything about it pros and cons etc,

 

1 roughly how much it would cost for 2 manifolds for the capri

 

2 where would i search to find who does it

 

3 how long does it last

 

4 what colours do they do

 

any posts appreciated

By ceramic coating I assume you mean cermakrome?

 

Pros:- It's the bollox and looks good under the bonnet

 

Cons: It's expensive.

I got my bare polished magnesium wheels wheels done at camcoat. They charged me £50 a rim and the turn around time was excellent. I did it to prevent corrosion rather than 'heat' reasons but all i had to do was rinse the wheel with the hose and they came up like new, so not only will it keep the exhaust temps away from ur engine bay, it'll also clean up a pieece o piss for shows

thanks but am still not 100% sure about it how long does it last before needing redone and roughly how much would a be talking do you think . i assume its like powder coating of the exhaust world

It lasts for years and coats the manifold both inside and out so corrosion proofs it too. Mine was done about 2 years ago and was a about £220 icluding carriage
