RAC rally

[Durham Fiesta]

just got in the house after a day following the RAC. Went down to the stages in scarborough then over to the lakes for the night stages. Can honestly say there is no better sound than a BDA powered escort flat out through a forest at night. Think i need to get some sleep now

its really odd this, I arranged to go to Olivers mount with Andy Ellis. I checked the RAC rally site to look at the entry list, and found there were 4 stages at Temple Newsam 1 mile from my house. But there was no publicity about the event up there, no signs or anything telling people it was on. Went up on Friday night, and there was 1 small sign for "spectator parking" off the main road behind the shops here. Stood watching the night stage at Temple with a bottle of jack daniels, 6 hours sleep then off the Scarborough on Saturday morning. First time I've been to a rally and it was one of the best motorsport events I've been to. A bargain at £5 too

i've got about 100 ten second videos i took fo the cars coming through, wasnt a bad turnout of cars and not a bad rally. we went to scarborough for the lunchtime stages on saturday then up to the service and the stage at the industiral estate in scotland today

 

i still recon the mcrae rally was better

hit keilder today i did the start on 29 and veiwed the next stage i thrashed my mk5 fiesta on the stages too pmsl im surprised it held up

Friday: drove down to scarborough to get pissed. slept in the motorhome ready for sat

 

Sat: Watched 2 stages in scarborough then abit in the forest 15miles away. Drove all the way up to Ae forest took 3 & half hours. Before we went in to the forest met the local nutter in the pub (Saying he had a few drinks was a understatement ) Then kiped in forest.

 

Sun: Watched two stages in Ae then one at Castle O'er. After that off to service Area. Then Drove to kielder slept in forest

 

Mon: Watched 2 at kielder
