  2. Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this. Can anyone recommend a good auto electrician in the west yorkshire area. Preferably one that doesn't throw a wobbler when he can't plug in his laptop.
  3. Have you tried Rally design?
  4. If you've got a car that has been modified in anyway from factory production, and lets face it who hasn't then you may be interested in reading this article http://www.the-ace.org.uk/armageddon/ If I'm reading this right, and it goes ahead there's going to be a lot of illegal cars on the road and companies out of business.
  5. ...say Hello I've been on here for years, never really get the chance to actually spend consistent time here, so its always been dipping in and out. Anyway I'm in the Elland area of West Yorkshire - still getting to find my way around as I've only been here about a year I've got a Mk1 Escort which I've been verrryyyyyyyy Slooooowwwllllllyyyyy rebuilding over the past 6 years, when time and money allow. Hope to get out to a few meets and make some local contacts. Alistair

  9. when it comes to buying the 'central' hardware to plug your Cat5 into, make sure that you get a 'Switch' rather than a hub. A good programmable switch can then be used to create different vlans (virtual local area networks) By doing this you can logically separate out all the traffic, i.e telephone, cctv, music, tv, games, etc... I wouldn't bother with Cat 6 for the house, you can run speeds of gigabit easily over a good cat5 installation. I would just use UTP cabling, rather than STP. Just make sure that you don't run the cat 5 cables in the same trunking as your power cables. Any questions mate, just ask and I'll see if I can help
  10. Hi guys, just a long shot but here goes. I've recently moved down to the halifax area, and the property that we're in doesn't have a garage or driveway. My OSF along with several boxes of sprares and all my tools are still at the old house, nicely locked up in a very secure garage. The house sale is rapidly looming so I'm in need of a new location. Does anyone know where I can rent a garage/workshop in the halifax area for a reasonable amount? Cheers Arrie
  11. you could always say you can have cash on collection, I'm sure there's someone on here that can go and either check out the vehicle or just knee cap him.
