Just recieved my new Mk2 Tina carpet from classic car carpets.

To say i am totally gutted would be an understatement,

the carpet came in 8 pieces and none of it was moulded at all.

the front piece of the tranny tunnel was just sewn in to shape, the passanger side carpet did not even match the lines of the car. the side pieces we cut wrong and too tall

and the rear carpet was just 1 piece of straight carpet like from allied carpets. and even that did not fit propely also obviousley not moulded for the tranny tunnel.

even the 2 triangles for the back seat were cut different from each other!!!

then there is the complete missing bit, the bit below the back seat.

has anyone used these in the past and what did you think??

i am now going to save up for a 1 piece moulded jobbie from OZ and will bin this one.

I'd certainly write a formal letter of complaint, and based around the fact that they state on their home page:

"All carpets are cut to the manufacturers original pattern and are made from the highest quality materials for longevity and ease of installation" which I would read as you should receive something akin to the original carpet.

Given your description of the goods, then you are entitled to a full refund, under the Sale Of Goods Act 1979 (as amended).

Act quickly the sooner you react in this situation, the less red tape they can hide behind. Back up all post with an e-mail. It's things done quicker!!

Here's how I went about a refund.......Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin..........
