i spoke to him the other day and he is having a little break from fords for a couple of weeks, i did tell him to get in his garage and weld his car up though

 

i said when he gets the calander through his door it should inspire him and drive him forward

we all have our off times and does us good to take a break, im sick to fOOk of prepping my engine bay and havent touched it for a week so now im back on it and enjoying it.

yep we all do, i went out to the car earlier to take it for a quick drive whilst the ground is dry and it wasnt foggy but it didnt want to run for very long and then the battery was dead. now i am looking for a new battery

I havent been on as a was having a bad few weeks and needed to take some time away from everything for personal reasons...and yes i needed a break from everything for a few weeks.

 

but i am here and my osf calendar has arrived!!!! great inspiration to see my car on the cover and in May... im just thinking about the new engine next year and planning to spend my day tomorow sorting out something on the escort (not sure what yet as i have a list)

nope! coincidentally the injection on the volvo decided to give up but ill get it fixed and depending on how things work out with my redundancy ill be slotting a 2.3 turbo lump into it next year once the escort is running again!

put a 16v head on it aswell if you can find one she'll fly

 

(16v heads come of think there 740 2.3's? not turbo ones or summing, ask on DW )

if you want harder suspencion, take the front inserts out, drain the oil and replace it with gearbox/ other THICK oil

 

also do landrover shocks fit them? or is it only 340's and 360's?

or i could just fit h/d shocks for towing (as i have done!) the 16v head came on the 740s and 940s...ill be using a 940 2.3 turbo when i do the conversion as i can get a full car for a couple of hundred quid and i just need a custom exhaust manfiold to clear the steering rack. thatll give me anywhere between 165-190 bhp out of the box. turn up the boost and whack in a performace cam. couple that with a performance exhaust from IPD in the USA and ill be laughing my way to 200bhp in a volvo 240 estate!
