got the chance of a 2.3 pinto turbo but dont know whether its worth doing it or not? i dont think power wise it would make much difference, do you lot think it would be faster or slower than it is now, currently my 2.1 has kent fr34 cam, stage 2 vulcan head, 2.1 bottom end v6 pistons etc, has a 38 dgas and a 4 branch.

cant say ive heard a us 2.3 pinto before,if there were any good they would be every where. id stick old skool and got 2.1

The 2,3 pinto is the american version of the pinto and is physically much larger and is not a direct interchange, infact I think has a designation name like most US ford engines of LIMA.

is it not a cross flow engine? (and dont start the 'no tom, its a pinto' business) meaning are the inlets and exhaust on the same side

Its a murker engine, ive had experience with these, leave it alone mate, not a lots interchangable with our pintos and you have a hell of a time getting parts.

go supercharged if you want forced induction, the easy way is a transit 205 low comp bottom end, efi top end with the efi, and a mini pooper cooper charger can be had for a few hundred.

as it happens its not the one on ebay!!, i think i will save for a set of twin 45 or 48 dcoe's 4 my 2.1 and possibly change the cam for a more lairy one!!
