johnny_h Posted December 6, 2006 Author Report Posted December 6, 2006 Yeah I know it seems expensive but this was made on my birthday in 1973 so worth it for me.

100ejohn Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Im trying to bring myself to buy one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MK1-ESCORT-RS200- ... dZViewItem
antz Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 i want one of them! but they were all battered and i aint paying £47!
Delotus Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 That's nice. I think it was a bargain myself .Mint in package. Never played with toys are going up in value and represent a good investment . I have seen these Mint Corgi versions very ocasionally at toy fairs and they are a lot more than the price you payed. Thing is if it brings you joy and satisfaction that is all what counts. I used to collect Vintage 1960's Scalextric up until a few months ago and i can tell some of the rarer models are changing hands for thousands of pounds each! I sold a single 1/24 scale Jaguar e/type for over £2000.And that wasn't on ebay. Why so much? Because it was in a very rare colour. This is what non collectors do not apprieciate. It's only a toy to them. There is a huge market for them. Above all,i hope enjoy your purchace. Tim
johnny_h Posted December 7, 2006 Author Report Posted December 7, 2006 Can't wait to get it. Gonna be a shame to have to hide it in a dark cupboard though to stop the cardboard colours fading
Delotus Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Yeah i know what your saying. Hey look out for a used one . Best of both worlds then mate. I used to do that when i collected slotcars and ended up with thousands!!! Half mint half raced. Tim
johnny_h Posted December 7, 2006 Author Report Posted December 7, 2006 That's an idea. On the other hand I don't really fancy getting caught on the kitchen floor racing it around going brruuuum brruuuuum! I know i will
LUKE261 Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 them corgi rockets or whatever they are make loads of money mate dont they thats about the goin rate i think, possibly go for a tad more than that normally
escortmad79 Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 I've got 3 of the blue ones (None of them boxed), did have another one but swapped it with my next door neighbour when I was a kid & the rally version (Not boxed but I paid £30 for it, cos it is mint!). There is also a James Bond version (From On Her Majestys Secret Service) & that one goes for very silly money!
