zetecmk2 Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 well, i put my dt up for sale, turns out it is stolen and i have a reciept!! fookin thieves!! now i have a stolen bike in my posession and £300 out of pocket, i suppose i should bite the bullet and inform the police i've done nothing wrong but i still feel like a victim!!w a n k e r s!!
Savvi Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 How do you know it's stolen what age etc is it ? It might have been stolen / recovered ? Did you list it or was it when you were listing, i take it you have no V5 ?
countrybumpkin Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 i know this is wrong but if the bike is stolen the owners insurance will have paid out for it, you have bought it got a recipt with no idea of what happened why should you loose the bike and your money? you shouldnt i say if you cant sell the compleat bike break it and sell the bits
zetecmk2 Posted January 25, 2009 Author Report Posted January 25, 2009 one of the bidders asked for the vin to do a hpi check. emailed me last night and said it was recorded as outstanding stolen and if i dont stop the sale, he will inform the police!! so, i did nothing wrong, yet someone the other end of the country threatens to grass me up?? i do agree with scrimsmustang, if my stolen car was on ebay, i would like someone to do the same , but a friendly email advising me it was stolen would have done. i don't need to be threatened!!! anyway, i'm reporting it today as i want to buy it off the ins co, then sell it for more i've still had 4 emails today from people who still want to buy it, and don't care that it's stolen!!
NginEEr Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 they wont care as it will be off with the vin and plates and on with the dirt tyres good first geared feild bike
