mk2estate Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 i took the wagon out for a quick spin before i dropped the oil on sat, 10 mins away, the throttle cable snapped! after a bit of swearing, i rung my big brother to tow me back home. while waiting for big bro to turn up an old astra estate drove past really slowly & all the young chavvy kids inside were laughing at me & calling the wagon "a peice of sh*t". they drove past me another couple of times, taking the p*ss & driving like tits! when we got the car home i set about fixing it & changing the oil & filter. by about 3 o'clock all was well again so i went out for a gentle drive to make sure everything was working again. i went in the same direction as before & past where i broke down, another mile up the road i saw police & ambulance, when i went round them i looked over to see what the fuss was & the astra that was taking the p*ss earlier was in a tree and the lad that was the most vocal about my wagon was talking to mr plod i drove past again 2 mins later & gave the lad a lovely wave, he didn't look impressed! sorry for the long story but dickheads like this on road deserve everything they get & he bloody got it!
mk2estate Posted January 27, 2009 Author Report Posted January 27, 2009 forgot to add, while i was waiting an old couple walked past & he was commenting about my car, saying how you don't see many of those anymore & he ended by offering to go back home for his car and tow me home. i've never seen him before but that was just so good of him, really touched me, i could feel myself coming over all emotional just goes to show there are still good people out there
