what about 7j superlites though, seen quite a few of them on mk 1 escorts and they sit ok with stretched rubber? they dont seem to stick out at all, baileymex has changed his axle or altered the front. i really want a set for mine but have loads of different answers :?

I've had most wheel types on my mk1 escort so i can tell you this : 7 inch rs 4 spokes go straight on with 175/50/13 tyres , 7 inch compomotive ml's go straight on with 175/50/13's , 7 inch superlights are a bugger for rubbing even with 175/50/13's due to the wrong offset causing the wheels to stick out approx 10mm more than the wheels mentioned above . You can get the backs of the superlites machined down and they fit a bit better though . The 7.5 inch rs 4 spokes need the 105e anglia axle for the rears to go on but the fronts look silly , i would run with the 7's on the front and the 7.5's on the rear as the car then looks and drives right . I don't know how to post up pictures but if you send me your email address i'll send you pics of all the 7 inchers on my mk1 escort . :D
