Daggle Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 Just made it back (only just, the alternator bracket went back halfway up the M20, caused the fan belt to snap and the alternator was left hanging by one bolt) Bloomin cold, but a good night, nice to see Burns and a few more of the cars Now im warming up with a cup of tea and then tomorrow better get underneath and find out what damage I have done

prefectopop Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 Bad luck Darren - fingers crossed its pretty straightforward to fix. Just got back from the lockup to put the prefect away again. Think that'll be its last outing of the winter now - the salt is out and the roads are minging - and its COLDDDD!!!! Still, got a good burger from Burger King round the corner! Cold chips tho.... Nice cars and brave people to put up with the cold, looking forward to a few warmer meets in the new year!

Daggle Posted December 10, 2006 Author Report Posted December 10, 2006 Lucky it was so cold last night!! kept the car from overheating on the M20, had a poke around and I have lost a couple of bolts to put the alternator back on to the block, mind you this might be just the thing to make me pull my finger out and start sorting out the reverse pedal box, pull the engine out and send it off for a bit of a make over..... Or shall I save my money and go the whole hog and have the Zetec conversion mmmmmmmm
