mk14dr Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 Its that time of year again to start organising the summer shows. Ive been going to this show for the last few years, we even had a small RR presence last year and, although we couldn't all park together, everyone seemed to have a grand old time. Firstly, what are the details, I hear you ask.... 03/07/09 Thornes Park Classic Vehicle Event 2009 Thornes Park Wakefield West Yorkshire WF2 8QZ The show starts around 4pm and lasts until dusk. Theres entertainment, however, I'd like to think we'd be more interested in the machinery on show As every year, access is from Horbury Road gate Heres the pic threads from last year. here and here And the year before here Anyway, what I think we might do to make sure we get parked together is all meet elsewhere half hour before hand and just turn up rather than getting the forms sent off just to end up parking in year defined classes away from each other OSF/NSJC/RR stand FTW! Let me know who fancies it, I'll double check with the organisers that we're ok to turn up en mass and we can start working out where to meet up.
mk14dr Posted June 22, 2009 Author Report Posted June 22, 2009 BUMP FOR NEXT FRIDAY!! If anyone is interested, we are meeting an hour before at the Redbeck motel and driving down together. So thats Next Friday 4pm at Redbeck Motel Im not sure on numbers so there might be 20cars driving down, or it might end up being a couple of us, either way the show is always good

I reckon you caught the weather that passed over here at dinnertime. We eventually got there at 5:15ish, it not only stayed dry but ended up getting sunny and hot. Plenty of tasty metal on display, pics are uploading as I type
