Only two ports line up far too long, and the whole thing sits on the piss. The CVH manifold is the one to use as all the ports line up. I just fettled them to suit the oval ports of the Zee as CVH has round holes. I then had the carb mounting boss machined up and welded to the CVH inlet manifold. Bought an adaptor plate from Retroford for £25 plus the manifold came from him as well. Got my mate to do the welding. All works quite well. Have seen the Vauxhall carb and manifold used though, that seems to work quite well too.
caprinerd Posted May 12, 2009 Author Report Posted May 12, 2009 cheers lads thats really help out have cvh manifold in garage
Ken B Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 Usher engineering are also the guys to talk too as they now knock out ready to go manifolds for Bangers and Mondano Rods. http://www.usherengineering.co.uk/ Took my set up to a rolling road a few weeks back, went in with 121hp at the fly came out with 138. Thats 32/36 carb, RS1800 130 standard cams and megajerk ECU. I think that pretty good for carb set up from injection.
caprinerd Posted June 14, 2009 Author Report Posted June 14, 2009 i got him sorted with the cvh manifold and he`s been out finished the first race no placing but was blitzed by a massive follow in by a bluebird on the second race but he loved it and has been bitten by the bug and is ready to go out again he lives in london but is racing for tsr at kingslynn bit of a treck but im in norfolk and use to go to smallfields and areana essex as well as local, funny how the traveling dont seem to matter where racing is concerned anyway a big thanks for the tip on the manifold set up on the zetec
