2000e 3 rail gearbox

hi there just wanting to know how big a job it would be to renew the input shaft bearing and the rear shaft bearing on my gearbox. or is this a specialist job. cheers andy

They are easy box to work on compared to most, but it does involve some stripping. You can in theory change the front one without a complete disassembly, and the rear but you have to carefull of all the baulkrings and cones coming apart not to mention the blocker bars. It also depends on how tight the bearings are on the shafts. Sometimes they looseish other times you need a press. So it depends on your patience and skill level. Watch those ball bearings just under the top cover!!!
