caprilaser
Does anyone know what gearbox this is? The tailhousing looks similar to this but the drain plug is on the other side and there are other differences too. http://www.burtonpower.com/technical_1/type_3_gearbox.aspx Any help would be great, cheers

Toby
I think it is an early single rail from a mk2 cortina. It might have the 2000E ratios in it - if it does it's a nice box with good selection - ideally suited to a crossflow as it's similar size gear set to a 3 rail (small)(and it's a 3 rail case so it was a "bitza" in its day.) I had one in my cortina originally and it was great - i have a quick shift for it if you're interested and it has the right ratios.....
X-pack-Glyn
Type 3 dont have a drain plug, id say mk2 cortina, should have a date on it somewhere.
