mk1super Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Been there meself few years back. Jobcentre's seem to think all there "Clients" Are worthless lazy druggies who dont wanna work now i'd say that perhaps 60% in Aberdeen do fall into this group but what ever happened to being treated as an individual Then theres filling in that stupid fookin diary I bet countless folk write any old shite in that Then theres "What the goverment says you can live on" 82 quid a fortnight i was on,that isnt going to pay your tv licence, heating, electric and feed you, i'd love to have met the stupid c*nt who said i could afford to live on that i ended up for the first 6 months of me new job clearing bloody debts Then theres New deal oh boy what a waste of time, working in a Charity shop for 6 fookin months, coz thats really gonna get someone like Currys or Asda to employ you. I liked working in the shop so much i went to college and trained as a Gardener/Tree surgeon To end the rant, be prepared to have your self worth ground to dust after 8 months being unemployed i was left feeling very depressed, self esteem at rock bottom and very very angry, the day i signed off i told my "Advisor" exactly what i thought of her and the jobcentre needless to say security asked me to leave, but it was sooooo worth it! With sincerity i so hope you find a job you like fast
jimbo Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 said it was my fault I was laid off! Same was said to my mate. His response was "you're right I suppose. I should have just sat on my arse claiming benefits from the beginning. Then I would have had no job to get laid off from" He's become a "full-time musician/songwriter" now. He's doing what he's always wanted to do and has time to promote his music. Revels in his regular "chit-chats" with his advisor now. Says it provides him with inspiration
