Chris! Posted May 23, 2009 Author Report Posted May 23, 2009 If i do sell it the wheels wont be staying on it
MightySprocket Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 glad your sorting that bonnet out and keep it, sweetest tina around imo before you spolied it
deltamal Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 Keep the car and play engines! make sure you keep the 1.6 badge, sleepers are good you can just see the 1.3 badge on my sig pic, and it's a 2.4 nasp YB....
lee337 Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 i'd keep it and 24v it, twice the power of a standard pinto and easy enough to find. it shouldn't be too hard to fit a v6 into a cortina. have a look on the fordpower forum, it seems to be one of the best places for info on the 24v it helped me out when i put a 24v in my old xr4i. if you do go for a bigger engine don't forget you'll need to uprate the brakes to cope with the extra power and weight. i would also recommend fitting an lsd as well if you're gunna put the 24v in it. i ran my 24v xr4i with the standard diff and it was lethal especially in the wet
