Masters Series at Brands Hatch Pics

Spent the day at Brands yesterday. Saw some really great cars. Shame neither Alan Manns Cortina or Mustang were out (mustang made it out but had some serious handling issues so went in). I got to see my first Capri RS3100 and It was the most amazing thing on the track. Also watched an Xpack Mk2 Escort Cossie 1800 keep up with all the 70s protos and Blitz past all the batmobiles.....had some issues later on though. No worries, I went last year but it might of been a different day as i dont remember Escorts or Capris...

 

It was great watching them though. Felt bad for the Mk2 Scort team though. Bloody rapid car but just having alot of fueling problems. The Yellow Tina in the other race was fast as well. Right up until the engine just cut out...

So gutted i missed this Glad you had a wicked day mate, that GAA capri is amazing. Last year it was up against a CSL and a blown 600+bhp camero.

That thing sounded so awesome when it was pulling out of Graham Hill up the Cooper straight. Only thing that rivalled it noisewise was the Chevy Stingray and the Grand Sport.

 

Also the underbonnet on the Mk2 Escort involved a BDA on Mechanical injection.
