Help,cant remember name of cartoon!

It' been driving me crazy

 

It's some small guy and from what i can remember he lives under a kitchen cupboard and the tiles on the kitchen floor are black and white squares.

The guy is just like a big head with really small arms and legs,no neck or body or owt and i dont think he ever spoke,it was all voiced over as if someone was telling the story ???

 

Must have been mid to late 80's i think,going out my mind
