Last time i saw that it was in the readers rides section of classic ford with a v8 over 10 years ago.... Would love to see my old cars one day, they meant soo much to me
-
Whoa.... Only just seen all this, whos stalking me ha ha I havent been on the forum much at all which yes it's a shame......Been training with Nottingham Fire and Rescue as a retained Fire fighter so im sure yo'll forgive me

Cheers chaps... Mines an Oct 77 build
-
How do you find out when a car was manufactured?.....Logbook says mine was registered December 1977
-
Not sure what thread they are?...The bolts have 13 stamped on the top if that helps....and the shell was registered Dec 1977, so an early'ish mk2 I wouldn't know how to tell M8 thread from a UNF? Just seems weird the same bolt will fit in all the holes except those i mentioned

All of them, i regret selling all of them, capris, mk2 escorts, xr2's an xr3i and a cabriolet ....and a never ending list of cars i came close to owning but didnt due to money or space or time ..... .....i could see the way the classic ford world was going and i wanted to keep them all but for various practical reasons we cant keep them all i suppose. However, i do still own my first car, a mk2 escort 1100 pop 2 door....cost me £300 with an mot back in the day
-
Jeez it's quite in here these dayz

People, I'm having trouble fitting rear seat belts to my mk2.....the bolts go in and tighten up in each hole except the ones located next to the wheel arch? Its like the holes are a different size or something which seems weird? .....Any ideas of which size bolt to use or where I'm going wrong?

My dad is selling his 1963 Vauxhall Victor FB....Very rare being the VX4/90 version It will run, was driven into the garage a couple of years ago. Heartbreaking sale, my dad has decided he is too old to finish it. He bought it from the original owner around 25 years ago. My brother has put it on Ebay, see link below http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-VX-4-90-Victor-fb-1963-classic-restoration-project-/161952282862?roken=cUgayN If you dont do Ebay...£1600 buys it

I struggle to see the downside in any of this

Im having the car rebuilt, a crossflow came out of the car and a pinto is going in... If you stand in front of the car looking into the bay with a pinto engine, the exhaust is on the left But is the the exhaust system classed as left hand from the front looking in the bay or a right hand system from sitting inside of the car looking out ?
-
Ok... One more thing.... I can buy a LH or RH exhaust system, obviously it's left hand or right hand but what's it referring to? left hand drive/ left hand exit/ mounted from the left hand side of the engine? Or am i just being dumb
-
This is awesome.... Only up the road from me too Hope they dont just squash it
-
Thanks
-
Do i go for the 2" or the 2 1/2" ? Apart from the size, whats the difference? Noise/power?
-
I had a Peter Lloyd on my old four door running a 1600 crossflow, i thought it was great but the neighbours didn't lol The more i think about it, i do want something i can live with
-
Hi people, as title... Whats the best full exhaust system for a mk2 escort running a standard RS 2000 pinto? Im after something with abit of burble, something that pops and farts when you down gear but above all im after something of a quality build that will last.

Old Ford brochure/magazine hoard, seriously wow!!!!
bigglesmk2 posted a topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CHAT
The story is...... My missus lost her uncle (Simon) recently, he was very nice chap and spent most of his life working for large agricultural firms, teaching and car sales. I believe Simon's father worked in car sales and started a collection of sales brochures which Simon inherited and continued to develop. My brother in-law has been helping clear the estate and came across this collection which contains hundreds of pristine brochures and sales mags from as far back as the 50's, from truck's, tractor's and cars...... ....Good job my bro in-law is a car buff else these would have gone in the skip. The hoard is huge, here is a tiny snippet. Nothing is for sale, so please don't ask. Of course, the man that made this collection possible...... -
People who dont move over to the left , and people that sit too close to the steering wheel
-
I'd love to have a go on that
