I've owned a Mk1 and Mk2 1.1 Fiesta, 1.3 Orion, 2 XR3i's, 1.8 Zetec XR2i, Mk6 RS2000, Mk3 mondeo TDDI (family car) and the newest addition is a Mk2 Escort Estate Was always into my cars and even worked on a few myself, dragged my dad round most of the shows and have even been known to do 0-60sprints at 6 months pregnant Kinda lost interest when dad passed away in 2004 but I think it's back in the form of old skool fords now! My partner has already rebuilt a 4 door Mk2 and decided it was time I had one too, he bought me a white 4 door that sadly we only had for less than 24 hrs (stolen) Then whilst looking through ebay I came across a Mk2 Estate, I bid on her and won her for £354.99 (heart in mouth moment) We went and picked her up on Sunday from a lovely fella called Jon, Lee had a good look underneath whilst I got lots of stories about the car from Jon, She was in a sorry state but Lee thought we could manage the job we loaded her up and I got her for £330 as the log book was missing, Jon's face will stay in my mind for some time as we drove away, he looked gutted to see her go and it felt like we were taking all his memories with her, I've since emailed him and promised to stay in touch. We got home and managed to get her started after establishing we had a spark and petrol, moved her off the trailer and on to the drive. Now we're arguing about what engine and choice of colour, I want a 1.6 XFlow he wants to stick with the 1.3 lump and I want her painted Bright lime green, he wants her Midnight blue with a pearl flip Have managed to source a complete front end on ebay so looks like we've got a nice drive from Essex to Wigan this weekend and we still need a pair of doors if anyone can point me in the right direction

Boyfriend has just come home with a pair of bumpers and I got all excited Defo got the bug back again Dad would be proud
