Number Plates

At the minute i do not have a front number plate on my car, and i was just wondering what sort of fine/punishment you can get from the police? i do keep it in the boot, i guess a £30 fine isnt so bad but im not too fond of getting any points.

Any one had any experience with this?

on this subject, you see cars going about with plates on the dash so you can seee it through the windscreen, is this legal?

i was tugger years back for carrying the plate on the dash of one of my cappers they said it has to be mounted on the front

just had this exact conversation with people at work today. If a motorcyclist doesnt need one why do cars? We are all tax-paying road users.

 

I got gripped by the five o for having illegal spacing on my capri, I made my own plate at work (halfords) to read D 14SER putting the space in the wrong place where it should have been D14 SER. 14SER = LASER... no one sees it either but it was alreay on the car

 

If I cant get away with that I'd of thought they would rape you for having no front plate atall.
