My 1.6GL mk5 Cortina

I finally got my new project car into the garage earlier today. A Cortina 1.6GL. It's complete apart from the bits that have rusted so much they have fallen off. Needs quite a bit of work before it's roadworthy, but i'm going to fit a better engine and brakes, and have a full respray amongst other things before it's on the road. It should be ready before the Olympics 2012.

Hopefully I can get some bits tomorrow to get me started.

When I get over 10 posts I can put up some pics.

Looks pretty clean, a good wash and polish will bring that up looking really nice

the digital photos are not quite showing the whole picture. The paint is cracking all over, especially on the bonnet. Hopefully with some help from people on here i'll get it respectable.

That looks pretty clean

Red comes up well with a T cut but unlike the later rosso red it doesn't fade to pink

looks good, my dad had 2 of those but estates,

 

i have a cortina 5.5j steel wheel in the garden as it loks like ur missing one.

 

£5 not sure on postage though.
