mickyb Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 could anybody please tell me where i might get a battery that will fit my mk1 escort im fitting a 20litre pinto the tray only measures 140mm wide that seems to be the issue as a small battery does not have the cranking power a racing battery is to expensive and i dont want to put it in the boot cheers for any ideas
BIGKEV Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 halfords are doing a special deal at the mo on discontinued range

mickyb Posted August 13, 2009 Author Report Posted August 13, 2009 does anybody no what battery a mk1 rs2000 runs thanks
Fishtailparka Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 All my Escort batteries have come from Halfords. My car has a high compression pinto, with a pretty titchy battery really. I never have any probs, but I do think a lot of that is because I have a hi amp alternator too. (£60 from PLR)
LEONMEX Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Flat post battery with about 360amps is part number 037,this will be plenty for a 2.0 pinto. The original rs2000 battery is near impossible to get.
mickyb Posted August 13, 2009 Author Report Posted August 13, 2009 thanks for the help people boys or girls
Savvi Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 A guy on here has a bigger battery he sent me this Pm.
