I need help wiring a - earth cd player to a + earth car.

Is there anyway of doing it without converting the car to negative earth?

Would it work if I put the radio wires straight to the battery so they dont go through the loom??

wouldnt it just be a case of connecting the + to where earth usually would be and - to where + would usually be?

 

and remembering to switch it off when you get out of the car (no "ignition positive" as it would be an ignition ground so to speak?)

Don't forget the stereo chassis maybe 'earth' and your car body isn't

But that means changing my rev counter which ive just paid a fortune having re built

apparently positive earth was something to do with reduction of corrosion didnt work tho did it
