Info on JNG 260J Mk1 Escort

Does anyone have any info on this car, YPV 601Y.

 

Going through my mum and dads photos earlier and spotted a side on veiw of the car, I never realised they owned one.

Eventually I found a front pic of the car, all I know is its a brown Mk1 Escort and has been spotted in Suffolk by my mum and dad a few years back.

 

Im wondering if its for sale as this could be my new project I ve been looking for

It's a mk2 I would have said last taxed in 98, so might still be around lying in someones back yard somewhere. Finding it won't be easy, you could try writing to the DVLA and asking about the current keeper.
