32evo Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Was thinking of putting a darker colour below the rubbing strip, front rear valences of my mk3 3.0. Dont know if it would overkill it or not. Any one got any pics of one already done? This is the car in question...............
RossMK2 Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 i would keep it a as it is pesonly sometimes fancy paint can ruin cars
Mr2Caps Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Here's mine! I personally wouldn't go for anything too dark below the strip, saw a lot of capris 'back in the day' done like this, only it was with underseal usually, looked 'orrible!
evil knievel Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Wouldn't touch it if I were you. Thats a very cool and clean capper
32evo Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 Thanks everyone Still undecidedc what to do, will have to have a serious think
SmokeEm Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 A nice Turbotail would look the nuts on that as it is
laser Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Difficult Being silver on top as the usual is to go dark ontop and light below .. Eg Caspian blue over silver or forest green over crystal only combination which may work is strato silver on top and Nimbus grey under the rubbing strip .. other than that there is Black but it will just look like your trying to hide clag ! which is a shame as the car looks so sharp .
vibrating_Cake Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 what about dark on top and dark below? blue& black
caprinerd Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 wobbly how old are those pics as you aint got the turbo tail on it
