stevepeanut Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Very cool! i want to do RC cars but i want to build em from the ground up but dunno how to start theres a few main things to look at petrol or electric? electrics are very simple and rarely go wrong, petrols can be very very fast, but can take a lot of looking after and sometimes the engines can go pop do you want it for fun in the garden or local park etc, or do you want to race it in competitions? after that, you have on road, touring cars are very popular, or off road, theres buggies, trucks, rock crawling, rally cars and scale, how big do you want to go? 1/10 is the most popular building it yourself is very satisfying, I just built the tamiya frog last weekend, it took about 5 hours to build and paint, ask in your local model shop too, most people who work in model shops tend to own lots of cars, and race them too
GT_lenny Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 heres a couple of my old off roaders look how realistic they are- probably as cheap as the models too
D-FENS Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Love the sound of the engine in the video clip spoilt by the knobheads screaming in the background when it does a wheelie .
