Escota Posted January 15, 2007 Author Report Posted January 15, 2007 Cool, cheers man! Yeah i love the 4AGE! best engine ever made in my opinion! Yeah the BD is probably, the best, but the 4AGE is more reliable, and within touch of a normal person, e.g. dont have to sell your soul to buy one
oldskool4me Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 looks agood project mate keep at it gonna look sweet when done
Gonzo Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 nice project. I'd love to put a pukka jap motor in an osf. not got any problems with any of the ford offerings, but they're getting a bit too long in the tooth or theyre too expensive, especially if you wanna get serious reliable bhp out of em. I'd love to stick a jap six in a capri or the 3sge motor in an escort/cortina.
stu Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 WELL i recon the way your going. sheil b DRIFTING ... fair play awsome project
marky4 Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 great job so far will be the nuts when finished spray it green will look great and it's nice to be differant and fit a jap engine in an osf good luck with it

seanbob Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Do love a Corolla GT Coupe as well as my Old Fords Nice project man, keep up the good work!
Jimsiss Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 I'm going to look at importing an ae86 and a few spare engines too how's this project going? and have you got the 20v engine in the 86 yet? I thought that 20v engines were fairly uncommon to find, oh and can you put up some more pics of the 86?
Escota Posted February 7, 2007 Author Report Posted February 7, 2007 Thanks, for the comments lads, but im affraid there is some very bad news on the horizon! Im having to stop the project and sell up Which is a big kick in the balls, as ive had to do this with my classic ford collection before, but this time for a different reason. My parents have decided to move house, after 27 years! Problem being there wont be room at this new place they are looking at for all my cars. (2 AE86's, Mitsubishi Starion 2.6 Widebody, MK2 Escort Project and my Carina GTI towcar for my Hillclimber) I wont be selling my AE86's, as these are my babies, so im selling my Starion, along with my cool mk2 project. I know im going to regret this hugely, but its out of my hands. So im going to finish welding the shell, and sell it serperatly to the parts. So if any of you are interested in any of the parts pictured, drop me a message. I will soon put them in the forsale section. I'm going to look at importing an ae86 and a few spare engines too how's this project going? and have you got the 20v engine in the 86 yet? I thought that 20v engines were fairly uncommon to find, oh and can you put up some more pics of the 86? I hope youve got alot of money hanging around mate, as importing AE86's isnt cheap! The cheapest import your gonna get once landed is £3k, and that will be the roughest ones available in Japan, as they are a very valuable and rare car over there too. Dont forget the shipping and handling costs, will never be less than £1100. And yes my AE86 is 20v. I bought the car as a bog std UK spec 1 owner from new minter over 4 years ago, and transformed it. But not after a couple years of hard graft and £15k!!!!!! I wont bore you with the spec, i'll be here for years telling ya! Here a few pics for ya (sorry for disrupting the classic ford scene peeps ) This is what it looked like when i first had it back in the day, in bog std form. And this is it now: Enjoy The car has changed a little bit since them pics, but remains very similar!
Jimsiss Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 my bros mate inherrited one when his gran died and it scares the shit out of him so I might see about getting that one at some point
Mr Sam Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 your nuts.......in a very good way indeed
