midlands meet then drive to wales

This is a thought iv had for next summer .

 

well last night my dad told me about a road in wales (horseshoe pass) i went to google maps an looked it up.

 

i then had a thought of a day drive drive to wales.

 

if i could get a meet about 12pm. then head off 40 miles to the roads of wales.

 

post if you would be interested next year or if you think its a rubbish idea either way

 

this i was thinking of starting off to wales about 12ish postcode is tf1 2de

Its a good idea mate.......in fact its so good an idea its been done before Aled (Alminera) off here organised something similar over a weekend taking in most (if not all) of the best roads in NW a few months ago, hopefully he will be doing another next year as it was excellent.

I'm interested either way depending on dates etc

Hi Ross.....count me in too !......any gathering of Old Skool Fords is always a good excuse for a day out ! You will love the roads here and the Horseshoe Pass is a cracking gathering point. We had a spectacular weekend in September on the tour and will definitely be arranging another tour provisionally for the 2nd weekend in September 2010.

 

That road you put a pic up of is the Great Orme in Llandudno which is where the RAC rally was held in the 70's. Let me know when you are going to come and a few of us from my way will meet up

It's never the spares that you carry that you actually need I find, it's something else that goes wrong with these old Fords which is half the fun
