Line lock...?

Just aquired a line lock , but have no idea how to or where to fit it too !

 

Anyone point me in the right direction ......?

 

Oh , its got 2 brake pipes coming from it if that helps......

you have to plumb it into the rear brake line. when you then turn the handle, it stops the fluid going to the rear brakes, so only your front brakes will work when you press the pedal, so you can spin the rear wheels til your hearts content!!(or until it goes bang!!) hope this makes sense/ helps

I was under the impression they are plumbed into the front, so you stamp on the brakes, turn the little handle locking the fluid in the front brakes leaving the rears to spin

This way also leaves your left foot free for the clutch

^^^^could do it that way, but will it hold the pressure in the front brakes?? the way i said was how it was done in my Anglia when i bought it, and it worked. i just used my left foot for brake and clutch pedal.

yeah it'll hold the pressure in the front just as it stops the pressure in the back, i'd plumb it in the front, that way you know that the whhels are locked and the cars going knowhere. but everyone has their own way of doing things.

I have it plumbed in the front lines too

Have two front lines comming from the brake master ( Capri ), had to plug one off and fit the line lock on the other one. T pieced it on the other end to re connect both front brake lines.

 

Now after I press the pedal I push the switch, now I can release the pedal and front brakes are still engaged. Have two feet now to do a perfect burnout untill I release the switch...........and the front brakes disengage

front brake so when you push the pedal to lock the front end switch the lock into place release pedal and fronts stay locked but rear is free
