Scott, thanks for reminding me I still excist.. got an email you posted my name.. Leon welcome, we know eachother so no introduction needed. Yess, I am still Old Skool Ford to the bone as part of the Dutch crew but with Covid we where not able to attend anything, so Linda & I had lots of quality time!!! IN THE GARAGE Its at the paintshop now. We very miss our UK trips.

I foresee not many problems getting this mk1 on German registration If the UK paperwork is correct.

I am doing the Retroject conversion at the moment. Ford Capri mk1 facelift 2600 V6 (not RS) You have two options, fuel only or fuel & ignition. I do them both and my crank pulley is at the machine shop getting converted to recieve a 36-1 trigger wheel.

Id say, flathead V8. Its a decent engine with good power and looks. Put a Holley sniper EFI kit on that intake and you've smooth modern cruiser.

Scott, that was in JPEG format and they couldn't work with that unless its big in size

Can someone suply me the OSF logo Not in JPEG format but the format developers use. We call it Raster format in Holland not sure how its called in the UK. I am trying to get a flag made in Holland but they couldn't work with teh small JPEG file I deliverd. I want a black flag with the OSF logo in white msg-6294-0-56356700-1497238040_thumb.jpg.url

Take in account, DAB+ is the only radio source within a just few years as FM is phasing out in Europe allready. Retro radios are a waste of money if they come without the DAB+. There are allready DAB+ transmitters with the bleutooth and USB features you can stick in your siggy lighter socket that transmits a signal you can recieve on your old skool radio. Must say the one I have is still humming as I still tracing the noise interference caused by my old skool genuine Ford Capri electronics..

Had a good days out. Went in on wednesday traveling from Dover - along the southcoast, Hastings, Brighton to Southampton to collect GT40 parts ending at Kings Sutton near Banbury on a campsite that this year apeared to be an ant farm.... Did about 500miles that day so we crashed after a few Scotch. Thursday when we discovered the ant issue we moved the tent to another ( and only !! ) spot on the campsite with less ants and manged to have a few days to enjoy. Saturday of to Santapod where they tried to rip me off at 11am at the gate. 1 hour to early, thats 70 quit sir, I turned around and waited an hour ending up just to pay 20 quit for camping. Saturday was quit and sunday we had a good show. It apeared everybody was leaving early and even the traders started packing their stuf at 3pm. At 4pm most of the entrands where gone and at 5pm the showground was as good as empty so we left also, back to the ant farm where we already had paid for. Will look for another campsite next time... Monday we left at 0830 to vissit Rally Design to get some parts and a company called GTForte that apeared to be disapeared as both adresses we had where no good. By luck we didn't pay for the ordered parts. We had the ferry back on 15.45pm and arrived home at 20.30. Guess we did about 1100/ 1150 miles total. Will be back in about six weeks for Dragstalgia & Silverstone Classic.

Fibresports is the original manufactorer of the genuine x pack wide body kit. They still list them. Smith & Deaking is bad fitment in my experiance (warped en wrong) In Germany, Peter Wade from WST still makes the extreme Suhe wide body kits.

Got mine today ? Booked the ferry also today.

Alex ( co pilot of Michel ) has to do 3 rally events for rally licencing. Most important, "finish" three rally events. Meaning Michel can not drive on the edge this year cause whatever happens they have to finish three events. One of these rally events, ELE Rally is at the same weekend Classic Ford Show is. Alex and Michel are trying to do as much events as possible hoping they will count officialy. They just had their first yesterday but I am not sure if it counts. If they can manage they will go to the Classic Ford show. But ALex his licensing has priority as Michel is building a GP4 BGD Escort mk2 to compete with next year. We had an issue with pets to look after that weekend.. Not many we trust with doing that. In the pic I am holding two.. We, JP & Linda might have a small change to go. If we can we sure be there. "If" we go, we might go in a rental van and not a Ford Capri. We have a GT40 project going on and like to combine the trip with getting essential parts from GT40 supliers in the UK. Our '73 Ford F250 is running a bucket to the mile with the new updated engine and might not be big enough to safely haul the tanks, glass windows, rollcage and so on + campstuff so I am thinking to rent a diesel van for a long weekend and collect the parts and do Classic Ford Show. That might aswell not be a Ford van, so it will be camping only and no standpass. Guess those modern diesel vans run cheap on fuel compared to an old fasion heavy weight 6,7litre V8.which consumes 1litre of lpg or petrol every 1.8 miles.... Its still about 1200+ miles to go... in all our plans. If we can make it, which we sure like to, we will be there!! -

Dutch crew are most likely not be attending this year. If we go it will be a very, very last minute decision. So dont count on Dutch crew parking this year. Sorry but choises are forcing us. -
Allways happy to help, anywhere in the world !!. If we can help, even if we have to bodge it somehow, we will do. Old Skool Ford to the bone. It was nice to meet you, Steve & Sharon. Next time will have some drinks. Glad you made it home without a fuzz. Consider Spa Classic also next year somewhere halfway May to be expected. Traveling distances with an Old Skool Ford is always a challance. We know all about it. New cars will break down also, but call the AA, they come with new parts, sort the issue and you'r off again... Call the AA with and Old Ford..... and they have a challance as there are no plugs to read out the on board computer to read out whats wrong. Lets forget the parts needed that are most likely not available on short term.. If we can help we will do. Even if we have to tow the car to our residence. We ( Linda & I ) believe its importand in this Woldwide OSF comunity to help each other out where ever we or you are. Together we keep the Old Skool Ford Comunity strong and "Alive". We believe................ in Old Skool Fords. Amen

Scott, I got your logo's, A member of this board is working on it since halfway june..... after a request I made on this forum. Dutch Crew will be attending with a stand. Rally of Kasterlee, Belgium 27th august Europen Ford Event, Venray, Holland, 10th september. Ford Parts Day, Barneveld, Holland, 4th November.

OSF Dutch Crew ( minus one ) was attending the Europen Camping Weekend at Zonhoven, Belgium this weekend. Classic Fords from the UK, Belgium, France, Germany and Holland where there. Even with the rain on saturday only we had a great weekend. Even a genuine Perana Granada from the Uk was there. As we ( the Dutch Crew ) had three sales stands on a row on the show we had no time to take pics but lots of time to talk about classic Fords and supporting OSF. I was told mid saturday 135 classic Fords attended the camping weekend ( even with the rain ) and I have been told sunday morning counting was about 170 cars and still going up. All wearing our new OSF Dutch Crew T shirts ( thankz Vista ) Its a shame we still have no OSF flags to support this beloved community ( I have no clue why ??) Next will be Short Rally of Kasterlee, Belgium 27th August, where Michel will be driving his Escort mk2 Rally car with Alex as a co driver.
-
Well I also deleted all my pics. Won't use it any longer.
-
Otherwise 11-13 august theres a big Ford Camping meeting at Zonhoven Belgium ( near Maastricht Holland ) Dutch Crew will be there for three days. If you run into trouble in Holland we can collect the car by trailer in the evening hours and sort it out. ( still have a daily job that pays my bills besides my company Caprimasters Parts & Services ) and we have friends to with workshops so one way or the other you don't have to panic.
