Slammed Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Door-Hinge-Remove ... 45e8f2337f bit expensive, but im sure other peeps will come up with some answers too
MM77 Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 Get it off Goughie mate. Bought HEAPS of stuff off him and he's always been great http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HINGE-PIN-REMOVIN ... 1e5965e317
In The Pit Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Use plenty of WD40, take the bungs out (if they are still in) and spray loads of WD40 in atleast 24 hours before you start.
MM77 Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 And support the rear of the door on stands/bricks/etc to take the weight off the pins.
samurai Posted December 30, 2009 Author Report Posted December 30, 2009 They are loose as hell anyway Abit of wd and a few good wacks with the hammer and should be out
birdy Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Tried to do this years ago without the tool and ended up driving my capri around with a phillips screwdriver stuck in the hinge. Never had any more trouble with that door though. If you can borrow or hire the tool do it cos it's cheaper than replacing half your screwdrivers. You can always try making the tool, long nut and bolt and a bar with a slot in it.
