mexman123 Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 This car was at RetroRevival in Fenny Drayton a good few months back, saw it in their workshop when i went to pay my mexico a visit. (they are re-building front end for me). Its a genuine Broadspeed Mexico running twin 40s, capri tank etc if i remember correctly. Joe at RetroRevival got it up and running and it sounded a good strong throaty engine, it revved really hard. Pretty poor condition but restorable, nearside rear 1/4 panel is the worst around the window/totally rotten....They sold it to a guy on e-bay who collected it but soon re-sold it again as apparantly he decided that he could not spend the time it needed to restore as he had other projects on the go. Dont know who bought it then?? I has a good poke around it when i was there...it needs a good restoration, sills, inner wing repairs, some repanelling and someone with good welding skills to repair the rot around the nearside rear window, and interior refit...Well worth doing though and not beyond most people, nice registration number too.... Its had a hard life, but plenty of people on here have restored much worse...
immingham Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 Cheers for the info With i'd bought it now,
