    Loft finds

When me and the missus moved into our 1st house in 1994, i was up in the loft without a torch having a nose around and stumbled across a large wooden box........One torch later.......A COFFIN !!!!! I shit myself lifting the lid off it, but the strange thing is, it had been made up there!!, i had to break it up to get it through the loft hatch and down Brass handles, silk interior, the lot....but obviously home made from the quality of it.....
  3. Brilliant, already done the Rashleigh Arms in Charlestown, and also the Other Rashleigh pub in Polkerris on the beach... Both cracking pubs.... Hoping to get the car down there as soon as the weather turns a little for the better. Look forward to meeting you all at last....

  11. For gods sake,,....what is wrong with some people???? Terrible looking cars.
  12. www.escortrs.co.uk sell them.......
  13. Not worth a light.....utter rubbish. The petrol in the tank is probably worth more than the car.....
  14. Only 7% of the total land area in the UK is built on........
  15. An 18 year old insuring a car for third party risks, isn't insuring his own car....whether it be worth £100, or £10,000.....the insurers are covering the damage that the driver can do with that car....The premium against the value of the car is irrelavent..
  16. TRAITOR See you on www.barryboyz.co.uk in a few weeks time then......
  17. New old stock lenses come up on e-bay quite often and are relitavely cheap. £20 ish. New old stock chrome surrounds are rare and do occasionally come up for sale but are big money....The last pair i saw fetched over £150 and the auction still had time to go. It is possible to have yours re-chromed but again, its not that cheap, i got quoted around £60 to have the pair of mine done and there is no guarantee how well they will turn out. I have spare a rear lamp unit, on which the original chrome surround is excellent (probably the best you will find 2nd hand,) with just very faint patina markings, but no pitting, and shines lovely, but the lens has a couple of faint 'pressure cracks'. See how you get on with the bay of 'e', they are out there, but how deep is your pocket??
  18. Just a thought, is that old lorry you are putting it in a scrapper? If so, why not take the wheels off it to lower it down? Or even take the box section of the back of it completely?
  19. Kev Curtis=nice guy....Found me a new old stock Mk1 inner wing after i had searched hi and lo for 6 months..... Had my pants down on the price though..... Beautiful car he owns too.
  20. Seems like your asking for trouble getting that car in and out of there. Personally, i wouldn't have even attempted it, its far too steep and the car too heavy. I would rather leave it outside i think.
  21. ermm...very early escort.....don't tell me........ Its on the tip of my tongue..... Early 940cc escort by any chance?? Am i right....???
  22. WTF ?
  23. Confused the shit outta me.......
  24. More than that if they are decent...I paid £250 for a pair 3 years ago...very tidy though, they have had the bolster sections replaced with black leather
