Copey Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 at the mo in lidl they have leccy thermometers, gives time, inside car temp and outside car temp now i know some of you will be thinkin "i dont care how cold it is outside" and i dont either, but, it would easily mount inside the engine bay to give a nice engine bay temp readout, which could be usefull to some people! worth it for £3.49 i recon

Ive put the sensor into the top hose and tightened the jubilee clip as normal. It doesnt leak because the wire is so thin
FredTransit Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 Interesting. Is this a pinto as I am having trouble with one of me temp gauges.
stevie Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 yes mate its a 1600 pinto. I just used a drop of hylomar red to help it seal a little. but i dont think it would leak as the wire is so thin. I used it because i wasnt sure whether to trust my gauge or not so i popped it in just for an experiment. Its all ok though so i might find another use for it soon
caprinerd Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 i use an older one from lidls for my snake vivariums
