has anybody tried to remove tail lights from a mk1 escort??? any tips

Reverse lights i gently remove with a stanley knife, main lights push out from inside model with a small star screw driver

thanks ive ground off the reverse lamps as my car dont have them will post pics when its finished strugling to find white mex stripes may have to get a friend to paint them on
