Quick question for you guys using the 205 block ... do you deck the block, use longer rods or shave the head???

Im guessing leave the head as it is as this is the most expensive item and I can always get a new block. Also, I'm upgraded to steel rods anyhow so might as well get longer ones?

Also, is the pinto crank able to withstand the power ok?

What do you guys do??

Steel rods...how about a steel stocker crack to go with it?

I will be skimming the head slightly, but what i mean is, do I go down the route of getting the block decked, shorter pistons with longer rods?

You know that the fiesta diesel rods can take up to 9K revs.Thats if you want to keep costs down but they need skiming on the sides as they are too wide for a drop in fit.

You have to mod something on the pinto block if your gonna fit a cossy head but i cant remember what it was  Something to do with a pulley i think

Give Vulcan Engineering a call, Steve will know what you need to do

have a fast road Pinto to go in for the summer ... just to get it to the shows.

would also like to learn to drive properly with a less powered car before jumping straight in the deep end. The 100e I have is bloody crazy, all good fun but I cannot drive it quick as its a tad too crazy lol
