well MOT appraoching i thought id but some steels on it have the car standard as possible just incase the tester think the pots stick out or whatever

 

damn there skinny

 

but blooooooomin eck improve the acceleration no end!!! small diameter and 2kg lighter per wheel really seems to shift faster but its not long before your rootin for the next gear

 

and launching off the line at 2k doesnt get you far

 

 

 

also put the ford carb back on fed up messing around with that webber and put me bumpers back on, one was a bit of a pig as sum numpty ran it over (not me) and bent one of the mountings so got the blowtorch out and banged it back into place

i think for strip action im going to seriously consider some banded 12" steels

You wouldnt need to fit your bumpers for MOT as long as there's

no sharp edges, the rear no. plate lamp still shines on the

plate and is fixed properly as far as I know.

 

You pepperpots should be ok too....

get a set of 12 steels banded. they will look the nuts.

thats the plan although someone tells me there illegal for track use only really want them for 1/4 mile use for quick accel

Get XR2 steels m8. With 175/50's it will accelarate like your 12's

id happily swap the pots for some steels

suprising how good the steels are really you forget your riding on rubber only double the width of a decent mountain bike tyre

If its slippery out it'll probably handle better

not on rounderbouts they dont and with a new clutch itt'l spin through every gear
