pre-xflow xflow starter

will a pre-xflow starter fit and bolt into a xflow bellhousing?

i kno xflow has 3 bolts and pre has 2...

i can get hold of one for my escort for a quick fix and the guy recons it'll fit.

it does have a solenoid on the side but i will be getting a solenoid too.

Does anyone have some pic's of how it wires up?

it wont work then because you will need to change your flywheel to match the starter as inertia starters and pre engaged starters teeth are different

yeah Cortina mad is correct, i had fitted a standard starter but i need a pre engaged one, with the solonoid on the starter, and it would work as the flywheels are different.

It will work, but not for long. The teeth on your pre engaged flywheel will be ruined by the teeth on the inertia starter motor...

 

Advice, get the correct part for the car.

 

You need a pre engaged starter motor if you have the solenoid on the side.
