I am going to be stripping my mk2 escort down to bare shell and major restore and wanted something different under the bonnet but simple and easy just wanted to no if it could be done?

i dont think it would be simple are you meaning putting a rs turbo in it ?

 

you got all the wiring and fuel lines and mounting it all etc with noone specializing in this mod

bit of a pig as i think u have to cut the bulk head rite out as the dizzy is on the bak of the engine

In short yes, the bolt patterns are the same for the B/H

the RWD mounts aint on the FWD block though thats problem 1, problem 2 (as with the zetec) are the stat housing and dizzy, dizzy is easy go EFi and put the coil pack wherever you want, stat no idea not done it but i've seen it done at shows so somewhere out there somone knows exactly how to do it, have you tried turbosport or if your really desperate Alcoholics Anonymous?

Guys i was just wondering trying to come up with ideas my car is a 4 door mk2 escort got given it 4 years ago engine 1760 crossflow and i got it back on the road a year and a half ago got to santa pod and ford fair no probs but its not in great condition so i want to strip down alot of new panels to be fitted and nice paint job and something nice and special under the bonnet but what i dont no!!! any suggestions? iam thinking 1.8 zetec ........
