its a roller bearing that taps into the centre of the flywheel, before you put the clutch on,if you look at the end of the splined shaft it goes into a smooth taper bit. that taper bit sits in the bearing, as the gearbox locates into the clutch.

Got it, we call it a pilot bearing.

Ready?

Get your money back on that tool.

Lets say the spigot bearing is 15mm inside diameter. Fill the bearing half way with grease, get a 14 - 15mm diameter rod and slip it into the hole.

Now give it a whack with a BFH. The hydraulic pressure pushes the bearing out.

i had tried the grease method and it didnt work thats why i bought the special tool ang guess wot...yup that dont work either. Ive spent the last 2 afternoons under the car with a hammer and chistle, its still not comming out it seems to have welded itself in there. so my next question is what else can i try all i can think of now is to drill it out but its bound to be hardened, i cant get a drimmel in there either. Ill carry on with the hammer and chistle but with a bigger hammer this time untill i hear back from you lot

not doubting you here, but is there deffo one in there?
