Dom Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/wolfrace-slot-mag ... dZViewItem Is 4.5pcd VW or something? I was some for me capri but I don't reckon they'll fit
60ftman Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I think 4.5" is MGB / Scimitar. Could be wrong.
tim Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I think 4.5" is MGB / Scimitar.Could be wrong. alot of scimitar bits are ford
Dom Posted January 5, 2007 Author Report Posted January 5, 2007 Could I fit this under my capri then? Are they any good? I heard something about them being pretty strong (I think) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SCIMITAR-se6-Rear ... dZViewItem
350moggy Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Get them dom and have the pcd that you want machined into them
350moggy Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Hey Dom have a gander at this site see if it helps. http://www.retro-rides.com/wheels.asp?i ... &submit=go
quickrack Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Dont all the VEEDUB boys redrill the hubs when they want to fit the 5 spoke Porsche alloys on the 4 spoke Beetles. is it possible to do this with the Capri?
Guest M.Bird DOHC Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 ANYTHINGS POSSIBLE M8 BUT IS IT WORTH IT? SURE YOU CAN GET DISC'S UNDRILLED DIRECT FROM THE MANUFACTURE PEOPLE THEN YOU DRILL WHATEVER STUD PATTERN YOU WANT
Dom Posted January 5, 2007 Author Report Posted January 5, 2007 Well i've got a set of 13x7j slot mags but i've been looking for bigger ones for the back for ages and you never seem to get wide 15in ford ones pop up. Since they're for the back could I get a set of shafts made up or something?
60ftman Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 You could get the shafts redrilled to suit the wheels, but it would probably be easier and cheaper to get the whells double-drilled to suit your stud pattern.
Dom Posted January 5, 2007 Author Report Posted January 5, 2007 Could I get the other holes filled in? I'm abit picky you see and I think multifit wheels look scruffy
60ftman Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Could I get the other holes filled in? I'm abit picky you see and I think multifit wheels look scruffy Or Unilug them then.
60ftman Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Unilug - essentially an 'oval' hole that will fit a few different stud PCD's. Quite a few wheels were supplied new like this in the 70's and 80's, and they work quite well providing you use the correct washers/nuts/studs. You'd need to get the job done by a competent engineer / wheel supplier. Good luck!
tiko Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 I see he also has 7x15 wheels also which are 41/2" PCD and are off a Scimitar which is not the same as fords. Performancealloys.com do spacer/adapters but you would have to contact them to see if they have suitable ones but then they may make the wheels stick out too far. Probably worth asking the seller what the offset is.
