2.0 I believe, I think the V6 Box had a longer input shaft, but can measure tonight when I get in to check. -

Hi Vista, The Sierra box has gone, still have the other one. Happy to open it up this evening and have a look at the internal gubbins. Cheers, -
Starting my garage clearout to make space for other bad financial decisions, I have more photos if needed, would recommend the 'boxes and axle are inspected/rebuilt before fitting: 2000E 4 Speed Box & bellhousing, spins but haven't opened it up - £300 Type 9 from a 2.0 Pinto Sierra, with generic short shift, bellhousing and fork, working and removed from my Capri - £400 Type 9, unknown origin, with 4 cyl bellhousing - £350 MK2 Cortina Axle, either a 4.125 or 4.444 ratio - £400 Capri 4 Spoke Alloy - £30 2x 13x7j Wolfrace Slot Mags - £25 ea. (they're not identical, slightly different offsets) Collection from near Kettering, Northants, but might be able to deliver depending on where you are. Open to offers, drop me a message.

So you're saying Ford never fitted a manual gearbox because of an inherent fault made by Ford/Cosworth that prevents them from making low down torque? What is this fault you speak of? What would you class as low torque and I'd like to see power graphs comparing the two.

No I mean why a 2.8, surely starting with a 24v BOA/BOB would yield far better results?
-
But also begs the question, why?
-
I'm no engineer but I thought the 2.9 had a 72mm stroke over the 68.5 of the 2.8, making it just over 2.9. To get to 3.5 without boring it would need to be 86mm. Also I wouldn't have thought the standard injection and exhaust systems would support all that.

Hi All, Been a while lol. Just wondered if this belongs to a member? I don't mean to pooh pooh the ad I'm just dubious of the engine specs. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252943845728 Peace out!

Oki, sorry dude, that's shit

Ok, Is this a blame type thing or a frustrated and venting type thing?
-
Cheers bud, I'll keep an eye on that tonight to see what happens.

Hi All, Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I am now super skint, it couldn't come at a worse time as I've just forked out for my engine rebuild! I'm also in the process of changing jobs which is always a painful time. I have decided to sell one of the only things I have left that's of any real value, my beloved Vortech V-1 Blower I've had it for a good while now and it was always my inspiration to V8 so I could fit it, but that's not going to happen anytime soon. I'll stick a for sale thread up soon but I just wanted to A) Gauge interest and Figure out what it's worth! Cheers guys, much love

This may have been covered before but I've been looking at a load of Twin Cam escorts on Google, were the engines purposely fitted at a wonky angle?
-
I love you!! I should have the engine back this week to finish building so I've got a month or two to keep looking. I don't suppose you know of any bellhousings for a Saginaw 4spd? I've got the box but no b'housing.

Hi all, To save some time and frustration over this winter, I don't suppose anyone has a set of Chevy Mounts for a Capri? Its far too cold to be going outside and making them as there's a bloody lotus in the workshop again!!

New HTC One, booya!

Staffs are definitely RWD, when all three of mine run together their back ends start stepping out and tries to overtake the front, deffo sideways.

Got an S2 elise in the garage, just got the front clam back from being repaired, its been my brothers daily driver for the last 8 years! They're great cars, but they're shit. The handling is fantastic, if a little harsh sometimes. Got a Larini clubsport exhaust fitted, you can hardly tell its got a Rover Krap Series engine Would deffo swap if for an Exige any day though
