i used 35mm" welder earth cable on my mk2 escort with battery in boot and works a treat, its really flexible and wasnt to expensive, most welding supplies place will have it in stock

i went to scrap yard.........found an old bmw 5 series,spent 30 min removing its batt cable (batt in boot) it even comes with a junction box and a point to jump start the car (which i mounted in the eng bay of the capri i am modding) £10(and all the other bits that i had as well )

you want a really good thick one

 

i use wagon 24 volt cable for mine
