s_j Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 only problem with this claim is you can only claim it once no matter how many times you get it

s_j Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 thats good i was told a new law came in that you can only claim it once iv never claimed it
SmokeEm Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 is there a standard payout for whiplash,if your in a accident .does any one no Don't complain when your insurance rises every year in the future. Unfortunately, a claim is a claim whether its your fault or not.
Grizzley Dell Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 if your claiming from someone elses insurance you dont have to tell your insurance company. im going through a claim at mo and my insurance company arent involved, ive done all the chasing myself, the cars been repaired by a garage of MY choice, seen the specialist and got to go for a course of physio to appease his insurance co. just rubbing my hands together now.
escortmad4eva Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 if its not your fault your insurence premium does not go up and you dont loose your no claims bonus even if you make a claim if its not your fault you dont suffer.
FredTransit Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 I think what Smokem meant was the claim culture has made insurance more expensive.
D-FENS Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 I had a phone call recently asking if i was suffering whip lash or general neck pain after an insurance claim. The amazing thing about this incident was that i was shopping in a local Tesco store, and when i came out of the shop pushing my trolley of food over to my car which was parked in the car park, there was a lady standing next to my car and she explained that she had reversed into my parked car.The idiot on the phone ,who was from a claims company, just kept saying are you sure you have no injuries.I said that i was in the shop when my parked car was hit and he put the phone down on me .It would be tempting for some people to get talked into making a claim ,and all the money that is paid out forces the insurance premiums up across the board .
Mr Day Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 I got £3000,turned down £1500 after the 1st year as i was still in pain, turned down £2000 odd after the 2nd year as it still wasnt right, got to the 3rd year and they offered £3000 but said if i didnt accept it would have to go to court and if i won over £3000 i would have to pay the legal fee's but they said i'd be luck to get £3500 and the fee's would be a lot more than £500 so i dealt,I'm still in pain with my neck and in the cold it proper locks up,they'd said at the medicals i had to go to every year whilst claimin that i could suffer with it for the rest of my life, its been about 6 or 7 years now and still not really any better
SmokeEm Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 I think what Smokem meant was the claim culture has made insurance more expensive. We get more like the yanks every day
