i been stopped drinking since november 17th apart from 2 little slip ups (2 seperate days of having a few drinks)

but i just dont feel happy i just cant seem to feel happy

my wife and kids must think im a right misserable bastard

i can just picture in my mind that when i had drink in the house i was happy knowing that later that day i was gonna get pissed

anyone been through similar to reasure me this will pass because i feel well shit at moment

oh and this is after 17 years of heavy drinking it was 10 to 15 cans a day by the end of my drinking

to be honest you are probably just having withdrawals, given time they will go soon enough :thumbsup:

Dave .... maybe you need to get yourself a past-time that will take up more of your day so that you don't have time to think about the booze. DO NOT GIVE UP NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!! You have done well so far but don't allow yourself ANY slip ups ... you are doing this for yourself and your family :ykt::thumbsup:

How do you occupy yourself? What is a typical day for you from getting up to going to bed?? Tell us and maybe we can suggest some other ideas for keeping your mind busy  And not :whack it: in case anyone of you even thinks about suggesting that :lol::lol::lol:

maybe this will help in a roundabout way, remember the band i was in? well the lead singer was an alchoholic.. he died last xmas day from alchohol poisoning. so dont drink dave or your kids might not have a daddy this time next year.

stern but true mate.

ps, on a lighter note im addicted to midget gems and coming off them is ripping me apart
