easter sunday was the 1st club meet of the year for us, approx 200 mile round trip, all on 1970's 2strokes, was a nostalgic fun day out, we got a damn good soaking but was worth it..

It wasnt a full club turnout as most lads are still rebuilding thier bikes,

i have a great video too which il upload when my camera dries out :(

i bet the smell behid that lot was great- can't beat the 2-stroke smell :ykt:

 

the air was full of castrol 'R' :thumbsup:

 

When i was at guildford tech in 1979 , we all had rd's ,mostly 200's although

 

I had an RD 250E , my mate ran his rd200 on castrol R , you never followed

 

him for too long or else you got to the pub stinking of the stuff :lol:

 

Lovely collection there though, out of that lot I had an RD250B,an RD250E,

 

and an RD250lc + 2 x 350lc's, HAPPY DAYS !!!!!!!!

alex, simpson lids ? i dont think so mate :(:

 

I always thought paddock jacket an simpson lid was the look on an Rd :sad:
