are these filters any good?? and how do they attach to the trumpets, can i strap them to the last 20mm of the trumpet or do i have to run them all the way down to the carb base?

i have some long-ish trumpets thats all, and they are about 5-10mm off my filter plates atm, needing something with a little more room to breathe!

running the ones closest to the camera (longest)

Filters are for wimps - Trumpets only FTW :ykt:

motoring across dusty+stoney+gravelly roads on a regular basis doesnt help, check out the state of the engine bay already! thats 2 days worth of muck n dust n water!

problems i have seen in past with them is when engine sits idling for a period of time they tend to dribble fuel and soak the foam sock, then just a bit of spit back thru carb and hey presto you got a fire! seen it so many times

sieves

no, seriosly, sieves, the fine mesh will stop any stones n crap goin down and they wont restrict air flow

Im glad i asked lol. Time for smaller trumpets again i think cause these do really restrict the top end by a fair il bit with these filters, what do you guys use for filters with long trumpets then?

The two just don't really go together unfortunatly.
