Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 i got my renewal form today but as those who claim it will know you can renew over the phone, so i rang up but they say theyve sent me the wrong form its 04/09 - 04/10 i cant remember if its right cant remember if last years was those dates its just im concernened as he asked for my bank details???? then said oh youve got the wrong form
Mrs O/H/C Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 I had my renewal form in the post today and its says 04/09-04/10 which is right as they pay you for the year before..i am confused why they asked you for your bank details though unless they were just confirming which account the money goes into I would just fill in the form and send it to them as you dont wont them to stop payments
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 he said it was for security
Mrs O/H/C Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 he said it was for security No, i wouldnt divulge that information as there are other questions he could have asked you for security measures ie:national insurance No
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 he asked that first thats why i now wish id said no i arnt telling you
Mrs O/H/C Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 I would ring them up again and see if they ask the same questions
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 i rang back after 2 hours of trying to get through and someone else confirmed that ive got last years details sent and that they may ask for bank details as id though this person didnt he asked childrens dob
Admin Mk2Jo Posted April 16, 2010 Admin Report Posted April 16, 2010 I would be more worried about giving out the bank details if it had been them calling you but as you called them I think it must be a genuine question
Fishtailparka Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Best advice re Child Tax Credits is treat it as a interest free loan. They often ask for a lot of it back due to miscalculations.
